MONOQUICK is a sterile monofilament synthetic absorbable sterile absorbable suture designed to offer rapid absorption and minimal tissue reaction. It is colorless, non-pyrogenic, latex-free and specially designed to minimize tissue trauma thanks to its atraumatic union between needle and thread. Its figure-of-eight arrangement within the package facilitates its removal without knotting or wrapping, ensuring minimal thread memory.
Composition
- Thread: Manufactured with Poly (glycolide-co-caprolactone), guaranteeing complete absorption between 90 and 120 days by hydrolysis, maintaining approximately 50% of its original tensile strength 6-9 days post-implantation.
- Atraumatic needle: (if present) 300 series medical grade stainless steel, siliconized for high surgical performance, ductility and strength.
